Webinar: How do we harness the power of digitalization to ensure the success of CCUS?

Discover how digital technologies are driving advancements in Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS). In this tech talk, Energy Cluster Denmark introduces two innovative INNO-CCUS projects that focus on enhancing simulations and process control, offering practical solutions to make carbon capture more efficient, scalable, and impactful in reducing global CO2 emissions

Green Twins – A CO2 Digital Twin for Carbon Capture
The Green Twins project is a platform that uses digital twin technology to virtually represent and optimise carbon capture processes in industrial applications. By minimising energy costs and improving efficiency, this project has the potential to scale up and deliver significant impact across various sectors.

The project is presented by Goran Goranovic, Senior Researcher, DTU COMPUTE

CapSim – Advancing CO2 Capture Simulation Technology
The CapSim project focuses on improving the accuracy and efficiency of CO2 capture simulations by addressing two critical challenges:

  • Improving the core multiphase reactive algorithm to enable us to handle complex reactions and multiphase equilibrium efficiently and robustly
  • Better integration of thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport phenomena into the simulation, emphasising their impact on simulation results

The project is presented by Nicolas von Solms, Professor, Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering
