On 5 December 2023, INNO-CCUS hosted a Pool 2 kick-off where ten new projects were welcomed and introduced to the partnership. More than 70 researchers and experts in carbon capture, utilisation and storage took part in the event, representing a wide range of CCUS research and innovation, from biochar to infrastructure and capture solvents.
As a mission-driven partnership, INNO-CCUS is guided by an ambitious roadmap setting the direction toward 2050 and outlining challenges and gaps within the field of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). The ten new projects will all play a part in filling out the gaps and helping accelerate CCUS.
“All of you are solving your own little piece of the CCUS puzzle – and we need all the pieces to reach our climate targets,“ said Karina Marie Søgaard, Partnership Director at INNO-CCUS, before sending off the projects.
