Pool 3: Pioneering research and innovative solutions for carbon capture, utilisation, and storage

Project duration: Minimum one year. Projects must be concluded by 31 May 2029.
Total budget for call: Approximately DKK 50 million.
Investment per project: No minimum or maximum limit per project. The Board of Directors expects to fund between 3 and 10 projects.
TRL levels: Between 3 and 8 (applies to projects focussing on technological development aspects)
CCUS is a vital tool in the fight against climate change, but realising its full potential requires continuous research and innovation. The INNO-CCUS Partnership is already driving progress, with 30 projects launched across the CCUS value chain. With this call, we aim to build on that foundation by supporting new solutions that push the field forward and keep the momentum going.
We are looking for ambitious projects that advance CCUS technologies in line with the Danish CCUS Roadmap. Projects must include cross-sector collaboration and address challenges within one or more of the INNO-CCUS workstreams. Follow the links below to learn more about them:

At least 10% of the grant budget must be dedicated to society and systems perspectives.

Transfer of applications
Some projects may fit both Pool 3 and Pool 4 calls for projects. Applicants can allow their applications to be transferred between pools if they meet all the requirements of both calls. Learn more here.
