As part of a new initiative, the Danish government has committed 15 billion DKK to green research and innovation through 2030. This investment aims to accelerate the development of crucial technologies like carbon capture and storage, which are essential for achieving Denmark’s climate goals and supporting the green transition.

The Innomission partnerships, including INNO-CCUS, are a central part of this initiative and will play a key role in advancing the solutions needed to meet these ambitious targets. At INNO-CCUS, we welcome this recognition of our contribution to driving sustainable progress.

Lars Aagaard, Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities, emphasised the importance of these technologies:

“We will not achieve the full green transition of society without new technologies. Behind green fuels and negative emissions are technologies like Power-to-X and carbon capture and storage. That is why it is great that we are now pushing even harder for the technological development of green solutions and shortening the journey from the laboratory to real climate action.”

We are excited to see how this initiative accelerates progress and supports the development of CCUS technologies.
