Types of data

DTU processes personal data as coordinator for the INNO-CCUS partnership. The data about you that DTU processes will depend on your connection with INNO-CCUS but typically includes your name, address, e-mail, telephone number, occupation, and payment information in connection with conference participation or payment of membership fees. We also take pictures at INNO-CCUS events where you might be in the picture.

While the majority of data is obtained directly from you, it may also be sourced from publicly available sources.

Purpose

  1. Secretariat service

We provide secretarial assistance for various collaborations. This involves tasks such as maintaining and updating member lists, organising meetings, collecting membership fees, handling cases, promoting INNO-CCUS on and through various media platforms, and managing projects. To facilitate these secretariat duties, we process general personal data on members, employees, and board members. For payment administration, we process account numbers.

  1. Newsletter

We have a newsletter that you can voluntarily subscribe to, and you can always unsubscribe at any time.

The purpose of the newsletter is to send subscribed emails with new information from the company and the field of CCUS, which may include updates on the website’s content.

We will only send you emails if you have given your active consent for this. Initially, you need to provide your email address, to which we will subsequently send an email for you to confirm your subscription. This ensures that you have actively subscribed to the newsletter, meaning you have given explicit consent.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data (i.e., email address) in connection with the newsletter is Article 6, paragraph 1, Letter A of the data protection regulation.

Storage

We store your data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose or purposes for which the data are collected. When it is no longer relevant to store your data in order to fulfil its purpose, the data will be deleted.

We will retain the information you submit upon subscribing to our newsletter for as long as you maintain your subscription. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we will stop sending it to you. We don’t disclose the information provided upon subscription.

Your rights

According to the Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights with respect to DTU’s processing of your personal data. If you want to make use of your rights, you must contact DTU.

  • You have the right to request access, rectification or erasure of your personal data.
  • You also have the right to oppose the processing of your personal data and, in some cases, to have the processing of your personal data limited.
  • If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Your withdrawal will not have any impact on the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to your withdrawal of your consent.
  • You are entitled to receive the personal data which you have submitted in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability).
  • You can always file a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example The Danish Data Protection Agency.

There may be conditions for or restrictions to these rights.
