Tech Talk: Presenting BIOCHSTA

Biochar has long been recognized for its potential to store CO₂ and improve soil health. New research, however, suggests it may be an even more effective climate solution than previously thought. Findings from the INNO-CCUS project BIOCHSTA show that biochar’s long-term stability has been underestimated—and that key climate models may not fully capture its potential.

This webinar, hosted by Energy Cluster Denmark, will present insights as well as the newest findings from BIOCHSTA.

About BIOCHSTA
Biochsta is a Danish research project focused on documenting biochar’s durability and its role in climate mitigation. The project explores how different production methods affect biochar stability, how it interacts with Danish soils, and how large-scale application could support Denmark’s goal of reducing CO₂ emissions by 2 million tons by 2030.
